Capillary Oxygen Content - CcO2

Capillary Oxygen content: CcO2 = (Hb x 1.34 * 1.0) + (0.0031 x PAO2)

Varries accourding to the hemoglobin level and the FiO2.

CaO2: Capillary oxygen content in Vol% (mL O2/dL blood). Hb: Hemoglobin content. 1.34: Amount of oxygen that 1g of fully saturanted hemoglobin can hold. PAO2: Alveolar partial pressure of oxygen. 0.003: Amount of dissolved oxygen for 1 mmHg of PaO2.
